  The second category: regulated type:

  1. After the voltage regulator circuit determines the various parameters, the output is a fixed voltage, but the output current changes with the increase or decrease of the load;

  2. Although the voltage stabilizing circuit is not afraid of open load, it is strictly forbidden to short-circuit the load completely;

  3, the voltage change after rectification will easily affect the brightness of the LED;

  4. Appropriate resistors must be added so that the display brightness of each string of LEDs driven by a voltage regulator circuit can be uniform.

  According to the design structure of the circuit can be divided into six categories

  1. Capacitor step-down method: This method is more susceptible to the impact of power supply voltage fluctuations, and its efficiency and reliability are low. Because it is stepped down by capacitors, when flashing is used, due to the effect of charging and discharging, the moment it passes through the LED The current is extremely large and it is easy to damage the chip.

  2. Resistive step-down method: This method has low efficiency and low reliability. The weight of the shape is still heavy, and the advantage is small size. In general, this method uses less power.

  3. Conventional transformer step-down method: This type of power supply is rarely used. Although the appearance is small, the weight is still heavier, and the efficiency is relatively low, and the reliability is not high.

  4. Electronic transformer step-down method: The disadvantage of this method is that the power supply efficiency is low, the voltage range is not wide enough, and the ripple interference is large. The market uses less power products of this type.

  5. RCC step-down switching power supply: The advantage of this method is higher efficiency and wide application. The disadvantage is that the oscillation frequency is not continuous in the control mode, the switching frequency is not easy to control, the adaptability of abnormal load is poor, and the voltage ripple coefficient of the load is relatively large, so it is not recommended to use it.

  6. PWM control mode switching power supply:

  This method of power supply is recommended for design and use. It is composed of four parts, namely the input rectification and filtering part, the output rectification and filtering part, the PWM voltage stabilization control part, and the switching energy conversion part.

  The basic working principle of P is that when the input voltage, internal parameters and external load change, the control circuit performs closed-loop feedback through the difference between the controlled signal and the reference signal, and adjusts the pulse width of the main circuit switching device to make the switch The output voltage or current of the power supply is stable (that is, the corresponding regulated power supply or constant current power supply). The advantages are high efficiency and stable output voltage and current. The power supply of this design type has complete protection measures.
