During the operation of the power adapter, sometimes the inrush in the circuit is suddenly higher than the risk voltage. In order to ensure the normal operation of the circuit, it is necessary to adopt appropriate insulation protection technology. Under normal circumstances, the more common insulation shielding technologies are generally divided into the following types:
Type 1: Additional Insulation Technology
The so-called additional insulation technology is independently added to the basic insulation, which can ensure the occasional effect of the basic insulation and provide secondary protection against electric shock. However, it should be noted that the minimum thickness of the additional insulating single-layer material must be greater than or equal to 0.4mm, so as to effectively provide protection.
The second: Reinforced insulation technology
This technique is one of many insulation systems designed to avoid electric shock and is functionally equivalent to double insulation. When using reinforced insulation technology for circuit design, the minimum thickness of the single layer used inside is greater than or equal to 0.4mm, so that several layers of insulation can be guaranteed, but each layer cannot be tested independently.
The third type: basic insulation
This technology is the most basic insulation method to avoid electric shock to the power adapter, and it is also a relatively clear insulation technology introduced in textbooks. However, basic insulation alone is not completely safe, and engineers also need to achieve safety requirements through additional insulation and secondary protection of protective grounding, such as coil interlayer insulation.
