The performance of the wires and cables produced by the power cord manufacturers is directly related to the performance of the finished components and the normal operation of the whole machine. Before the assembly and production of the cable components, the power cords and cables should be inspected to avoid that the wires and cables do not meet the requirements. Quality problems cause the assembled finished product to fail to meet the requirements for use.
The inspection of wire and cable includes appearance and electrical performance inspection. After the certificate is complete, the inspection should be carried out from the following aspects:
1. The surface of the sheath and insulation should be clean, and there should be no large and unremovable dirt.
2. There should be no scalds, cuts, severe abrasion, etc. on the surface of the sheath and insulation. If there is slight abrasion and scratches, there should be no burrs, protrusions and depressions in the abrasion and scratches.
3. The surface of the sheath and insulation should be free of deformation, bulging, etc. If there is bulging deformation on the surface of the wire and cable sheath, it is an unqualified wire and cable.
4. The surface of the sheath and insulation should be clearly printed and continuous. If the cable is not clearly printed and cannot be identified, it is a substandard cable.
5. For the wires and cables used in the same batch of cable assemblies, the color of the sheath and insulation layer should have no color difference. The cable should have no core wires exposed. If the core wires are exposed to copper, it is considered unqualified.
6. After the sheath is peeled off, the shielding layer should remain intact, free from broken strands, sparseness, etc. 7. Do a swing test. After a certain intensity and swing times, the copper core does not appear to be disconnected.
