  1. Different voltage levels:

  According to "GB/T 2900.50-2008 Electrotechnical Terminology-Generic Terminology for Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution", the voltage lower than 1KV (including 1KV) is defined as low voltage, and 1KV-330KV is called high voltage. Therefore, those with a rated voltage of 1KV and below are called low-voltage cables, and those with a rated voltage of 1KV-330KV are high-voltage cables. The more common ones in our work and life are the cables with 0.4KV and 10KV voltage levels.

  Two, the structure is different:

  High-voltage cable: high-voltage 15kV copper core XLPE insulated PVC sheathed steel tape armored three-core 70 square cable (YJV22-8.7/15kV-3*70)

  (1) Stranded copper conductor: a conductor that transmits electrical energy, which is formed by twisting multiple strands of hard wires.

  (2) Conductor shielding layer: Since the conductor is made of multiple hard wires twisted, there are gaps on the surface, which will cause uneven electric field and prone to partial discharge. Therefore, it is filled with a conductive non-metallic soft material to ensure the insulation layer The perfect fit to uniform the electric field and improve the life of the cable.

  (3) Insulation layer: Since the electric gap between the 10KV bare conductors is 125mm, the gap between the two conductors in the cable is very small, so it needs to be made of cross-linked polyvinyl material with better performance to play the main insulation role. Generally, the thickness of the insulating layer of the 8.7/15KV model is not less than 4.5mm.

  (4) Insulation shielding layer: There will also be voids due to the direct combination of the insulating layer and the outer sheath, so a conductive semiconductor layer is added outside the insulating layer to even out the electric field and prevent partial discharge.

  (5) Metal shielding layer: In order to ensure that the semiconductor layer can be reliably grounded, a metal shielding layer is wrapped on the outside, and the metal shielding layer is directly grounded during normal operation to leak the distributed capacitance current between the cable and other conductors. It can shield some electromagnetic interference to prevent interference with other equipment.

  (6) Filling material: In order to eliminate the mutual inductance between the three-phase cables, it is necessary to arrange the three-phase cables in a symmetrical shape. The empty space inside needs to be filled with fillers to ensure the stability of the core and the mechanical of the cable. strength.

  (7) Wrapping tape: Most of the materials are PVC, non-woven fabrics are mainly used to protect the cable from external influences, and the tight core and filler are round and not loose.

  (8) Inner protective layer: The inner protective layer is a protective covering layer covering the cable insulation to prevent the insulating layer from being affected by moisture, mechanical damage, and light and chemically aggressive media.

  (9) Steel tape armor layer: armored cable is used to increase the mechanical strength of the cable and improve the corrosion resistance. It is designed for areas that are prone to mechanical damage and erosion.

  (10) Polyvinyl chloride outer sheath: mainly plays the role of protection, isolation and waterproofing, and provides the outermost layer of protection.
